Transited through Lima airport on my way to Bogota. Security follows the standard 100 ml liquid rule for carry-on. I had my travel size toiletries in a clear quart bag and they passed without issues. Duty free items are allowed as long as they stay sealed with the receipt attached. Security line moved quickly at LIM.
Booked the Standard fare from Sao Paulo to Miami and had one 22.5 kg checked bag included. The Light fare would have been cheaper but comes with zero free bags so Standard was worth it for me. Checked in smoothly at GRU and the bag came out quickly on the carousel at MIA.
Flew LATAM from Santiago to Buenos Aires in economy class. I brought a personal bag weighing about 9 kg plus a 12 kg carry-on roller and both went through without any weighing. The overhead bins fit the standard 55 cm bag easily. Staff at SCL were pretty relaxed about hand luggage as long as it looks reasonable.
