Flew EgyptAir from Cairo to London in Economy Class. They weighed my carry-on at check-in and it was 8.5 kg, which is over the 8 kg limit. I had to repack and move some items into my checked bag right there at the counter. The 55 × 40 × 23 cm size was not checked though.
Traveled Business Class from Cairo to Johannesburg with EgyptAir. Two checked bags at 30 kg and 28 kg were both well within the 32 kg per piece limit. The staff at Cairo airport weighed every piece carefully but there were no issues at all. The 158 cm linear size limit was not measured.
