Recent Traveller Feedback
Booked the cheapest SKY Joy fare from Athens to Santorini and only had my 8 kg cabin bag plus a small personal item of 40 x 30 x 15 cm. No checked bag was included which was fine for a short island trip, but I had to be careful not to overpack because the gate agents at ATH do spot-check bag weights on busy flights.
Flew SKY Enjoy from Heraklion to Thessaloniki with one checked suitcase of 22 kg and it was completely hassle free. The 23 kg allowance was perfect for a week-long summer trip around Crete and Macedonia. Boarding was smooth and the bag arrived on the carousel within ten minutes of landing.
Upgraded to BLISS business class on my flight from Athens to Rhodes for an extra 45 EUR and loved the 13 kg cabin bag allowance plus priority boarding. I had my laptop bag plus a larger carry-on with extra camera gear and both fit easily in the overhead bin. The two free checked bags of 32 kg each were also very generous for a domestic Greek flight.

Frequently Asked Questions
What do you get with the SKY Joy fare on SKY express?
The SKY Joy fare is the most affordable option and includes one cabin bag weighing up to 8 kg with maximum dimensions of 55 x 40 x 23 cm.
You also receive one personal item such as a small bag or laptop case measuring up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm that fits under the seat in front of you.
There is no checked baggage included with the SKY Joy fare, so you must pay extra if you need to check a suitcase.
Does the SKY Enjoy fare include checked baggage?
Yes, the SKY Enjoy fare includes one checked bag weighing up to 23 kg in addition to the standard cabin bag and personal item allowances.
Each checked bag must stay within 158 cm when you add length, width and height together, which is the standard international limit.
This is the most popular fare for travellers who need a medium suitcase for a week-long trip around the Greek islands.
What is the BLISS business class baggage allowance?
BLISS is SKY express business class product available on domestic Greek routes, and it includes a more generous baggage allowance across the board.
BLISS passengers get one cabin bag weighing up to 13 kg plus the same personal item of 40 x 30 x 15 cm, as well as priority boarding.
You also receive two free checked bags of up to 32 kg each, which is very generous for a domestic European airline.
What counts as a personal item on SKY express?
Every passenger on SKY express gets one personal item with maximum dimensions of 40 x 30 x 15 cm that must fit completely under the seat in front.
Common examples include a small handbag, briefcase, laptop bag or small backpack that stays within those measurements.
The personal item is in addition to your main cabin bag and does not count against the 8 kg or 13 kg carry-on weight limit.
Is SKY express strict about carry-on weight limits?
SKY express enforcement can vary by airport and how busy the flight is, but they do spot-check cabin bags especially at peak times on popular island routes.
If your bag looks obviously oversized or overweight, gate staff may ask you to weigh it and can charge extra or force you to check it at the gate.
It is always safest to weigh and measure your bag before you leave for the airport so you do not get caught out by unexpected fees.
