For my longer trip from Muscat to Istanbul, I booked the Flexi bundle which includes 30kg of checked baggage. It was more than enough for my two-week trip, and I didn't have to worry about overweight fees at all. The free meal and flexible rebooking options were nice bonuses too. I'd definitely choose Flexi again for longer journeys.
I was flying from Muscat to Delhi on SalamAir Value fare with 20kg checked baggage included. My bag ended up being 23kg, so I was 3kg over the limit. At the airport they charged me 5 OMR per kilo, which came out to 15 OMR total. I wish I had added extra weight online before the flight — it's definitely cheaper than paying at the counter.

I booked the Saver bundle for my trip from Muscat to Dubai and was really happy with the 10kg trolley bag allowance. It fit perfectly in the overhead bin, and the 5kg personal item went under the seat in front of me with no issues. Priority boarding was a nice bonus too. Totally worth upgrading from the Lite fare.

Connecting flights have a rate of 7 OMR per kg plus applicable airport charges.

How do I file a baggage claim with SalamAir?
If your baggage is delayed or lost, report it to the baggage services desk at the destination airport before leaving the terminal.
You will receive a Property Irregularity Report (PIR) along with contact details for the local baggage services team.
Keep your boarding pass, ticket copy, and the baggage claim portion of your tag for reference and follow-up.
If your baggage is not delivered within 21 days of your arrival date, it will be declared lost and settled according to airline procedures.
What happens if my baggage is lost or damaged?
For damaged baggage, report it to the arrival baggage desk before leaving the airport to receive a Damage Property Report (DPR).
