Booked the RB Super Saver fare from Bandar Seri Begawan to Kuala Lumpur and only got 20 kg of checked baggage. My suitcase came in at 24 kg and I paid extra at the airport. Next time I will upgrade to Saver for the extra 5 kg or pack lighter because it is a weight system not a piece system.

Flew Royal Brunei Business class to Singapore and really liked that I could bring two cabin bags totalling 12 kg, with each piece up to 7 kg. I used one as a briefcase for my laptop and the other as an overnight bag. Both were 55 x 38 x 20 cm and fit the overhead bins on the Boeing 787 with no issues.
Travelled with my wife and two kids on Value fares and we were able to pool all our baggage weight together. Four people times 30 kg gave us 120 kg total which was plenty for our holiday luggage. The weight system is really flexible for families as long as no single bag goes over 32 kg for health and safety.
