Recent Traveller Feedback
Traveling with our toddler on a flight to Rome, we gate-checked a foldable stroller and a car seat. Both were completely free and did not count toward our baggage allowance. We picked them up right by the aircraft door on arrival. Lufthansa is quite generous with baby gear.
Booked Economy Light from Munich to Berlin and forgot to add checked baggage online. Had to pay 60 euros at the airport for one suitcase. Next time I will add it in advance since it is much cheaper online than at the counter. Definitely worth upgrading the fare if you need to check a bag.
60 EUR
Flew from Frankfurt to Vienna on Economy Light. My carry-on got weighed at the gate and was just under 8 kg so they let it through. They were checking every bag that looked heavy, so I was glad I packed light. The gate staff at FRA were professional but strict about the weight limit.
