Flew from Manchester to Alicante with a 24kg checked bag. I was 2kg over the 22kg limit and had to pay £12 per kg excess baggage fee at the airport. Total charge was £24. Wish I had packed lighter or pre-booked extra weight online in advance.

Boarded a Jet2 flight from Leeds Bradford to Palma de Mallorca. My cabin bag was slightly over the 10kg limit and they tried to charge me £45 at the gate. I managed to repack some items into my under-seat bag and avoided the fee. Be careful with that 10kg limit!

Travelled with my 18-month-old from Birmingham to Tenerife. Jet2 let us bring a collapsible pushchair and a car seat completely free of charge, no extra fees at all. The pushchair stayed with us right up until boarding at the gate. Really family-friendly airline!
Departed from Glasgow airport on a morning flight to Faro. Security follows the standard UK 100ml liquid rule for hand luggage. I had my toiletries in a clear plastic bag and everything passed through smoothly. The security queue at GLA was pretty quick.
