Recent Traveller Feedback
On A350 flights out of Madrid, Iberia legally has to weigh hand luggage after cabin crew sued over the larger overhead bins. If your carry-on is over 10 kg, they'll usually gate-check it for free rather than charge you — that's what happened to me. Valuables like laptops and lithium batteries are why I keep everything critical in my personal item, never in the bag that might be checked.
My lap infant got the same baggage allowance as my adult ticket — if I had 2 checked bags, she got 2 as well. The stroller can go to the aircraft door; if there's cabin space you bring it on, otherwise they put it in the hold and return it at the jet bridge on arrival. Being pregnant also got me priority boarding without having to ask.
Policies may vary by specific route or airport. Always check your booking confirmation or the official Iberia website for the most up-to-date information before your trip.
