Recent Traveller Feedback
Flew from Madrid to Barcelona on a Standard economy ticket. My carry-on was weighed at the gate and passed at just under 10 kg. The 55 x 35 x 25 cm limit includes wheels and handles, and my small backpack went under the seat in front of me as the free personal accessory.
Booked a Lite fare to Palma de Mallorca and did not realize there was no free checked bag included. I had to pay for my suitcase separately - adding it online in advance is discounted compared with paying at the airport. Next time I will compare with the Standard fare, which already includes one 23 kg bag.
Traveled Madrid to Tenerife with our baby. The little one got her own 10 kg carry-on bag, and because my ticket included a suitcase she got the same hold allowance as me. On top of that we brought a foldable baby stroller for free. Really smooth at check-in.
Security at Madrid Barajas enforced the 100 ml liquid rule - every container in one transparent bag of maximum 1 liter, no more than 10 small containers. All my toiletries were within the limit so everything went through fine. Bigger bottles went into my checked bag.

Frequently Asked Questions
What's the difference between Air Europa Lite, Standard and Flex fares?
Lite fare includes only carry-on baggage (1 cabin bag up to 10 kg plus 1 personal item), with no free checked bag.
Standard fare adds one free checked bag up to 23 kg and 158 cm linear dimensions.
Flex fare includes the same one 23 kg checked bag as Standard, plus free changes and seat selection - on baggage the two fares are identical.
Will Air Europa weigh my carry-on if it looks close to 10 kg?
Air Europa allows 1 cabin bag, maximum dimensions 55 x 35 x 25 cm including wheels, handles and pockets, weighing up to 10 kg.
A personal item such as a handbag or briefcase up to 40 x 30 x 15 cm is also allowed and must go under the seat in front of you.
Business Class passengers may bring 2 cabin bags with a combined weight of 14 kg.
How much does Air Europa charge for a checked bag?
Lite fares do not include any free checked baggage, so a bag must be purchased separately - adding it online in advance is discounted compared with paying at the airport.
Standard and Flex economy fares include one checked bag weighing up to 23 kg at no extra cost.
Business Class passengers receive two free checked bags weighing up to 32 kg each.
Additional bags or overweight items incur separate charges that vary by route, and no bag may ever exceed 32 kg.
What happens if my cabin bag is too big for the Air Europa overhead bin?
Air Europa may check bag size and weight at check-in or the boarding gate. Enforcement varies by flight and staff.
If your bag exceeds the allowance, it may need to be checked into the hold and additional charges may apply.
Even bags within the limits can be moved to the hold at the gate on full flights, so keep valuables in your personal item.
What baggage can a baby bring on Air Europa?
Babies under two years are entitled to one 10 kg carry-on bag of their own.
If the accompanying adult has booked a fare that includes a suitcase, the baby gets the same free hold allowance as the adult.
A foldable baby stroller can also be brought free of charge on top of the allowance, and children from 2 to 11 years get the allowance of the ticket purchased.
