Flew Air Caraïbes from Paris Orly to Fort-de-France in Soleil Smart class. The 12 kg combined carry-on allowance is really generous compared to other European airlines. I had a rolling cabin bag plus a laptop bag and both fit easily within the weight limit. Nobody weighed them at boarding, but the size sizer was there just in case.
Booked Soleil Basic fare from Paris to Pointe-à-Pitre and realized I needed a checked bag. Added one extra bag online for €110, which is the standard extra baggage fee for transatlantic flights. Way cheaper than paying at the airport. The 23 kg per bag limit was enough for my two-week vacation in Guadeloupe.

Took a regional flight from Fort-de-France to Saint-Barthélemy on an ATR. I was surprised the carry-on limit drops to only 5 kg total for both the cabin bag and personal item. My backpack alone was 6 kg, so I had to move some things into my checked bag. The cabin bins on ATRs are tiny, so they gate-check most roll bags anyway.
Flew Madras business class from Paris to Saint-Martin for a diving trip. Two checked bags at 32 kg each is amazing — I packed all my BCD, regulator, wetsuit and fins plus regular luggage with room to spare. The lie-flat seat was nice too, but the generous baggage allowance was the real win for a gear-heavy trip.
Traveled with our 10-month-old to Martinique. We checked a folding stroller and a car seat completely free on top of the 10 kg baby baggage allowance. Staff at Orly was very helpful and the stroller was waiting for us right at the aircraft door when we landed. Very family-friendly airline for traveling to the Caribbean.
