Recent Traveller Feedback
They don't always check, but it does happen. At Denver check-in they weighed my carry-on and personal item together and told me 10 kg max combined. Another time in Miami they had a portable scale at the gate. If you check in online and skip the counter, you'll probably be fine — they barely looked at our bags when we did that.
I've flown with them several times and haven't seen them check carry-on size at the gate. The limit is 20 inches including wheels — most luggage is 20 inches plus the wheel length. As long as the main dimensions are within their limit, you should be safe.
Paid $65 per flight for a checked bag from JFK to Mexico City. I used to pay $35 but they've raised fees significantly. If you don't buy checked bags before arriving at the airport they're crazy expensive.
